Doubt the truth
And doubt the pain
But never doubt
The falling rain.
For when the rain
Doth pause its fall
Life will ruin
And you'll lose all
So treasure your sorrow
And worship your strife
For the pain makes it worth it
It brings you to life
For where would we be
Without the sins of our grace?
They give life it's beauty
To fall out of face
In them lies the mercy
And the purest of hearts
To believe in the real truth
And keep from falling apart
To smile through the pain
And laugh through the tears
Is to throw away your worries
And vanquish all your fears

Dark Skies
Where art thou
Thy wandering soul,
Thy lonely path,
Thy empty whole?
Where art thou
That which cannot be seen?
Thy sneaky, thy evil,
Thy cruel and thy mean?
O! I know where thee rest;
In the darkness- afraid.
Avoiding the words
Which indeed, ought be say'd.
Dweller of
The demented laughter,
Thee who ruins
Happily ever after!
I demand thee withdraw thine claim
On a world so filled with joy!
I take an oath- a feverant vow-
To destroy your "Moste Evile" ploy!
I do, indeed, most solemnly swear
That henceforth from this day;
I shall work to vanquish the evil in you!
Even if it takes my own life in pay.
For indeed, thou art not evil.
And I should most like to save
Thee from thy grief, thy wrath, thy hate, and thy pain.
So pray, dear God, do make me brave.
For I could fend off
A thousand men-
If only I could make thee
My friend again.
That knife thee put
Into my back
Was dull and blunt
And the bleakest black.
However, that blade, it shone!
Indeed, the night sky came alive!
Giving me the hope, that perhaps one day...
We shall meet again, you and I.

Lovely Eyes
What is love?
I cannot say.
Is this love
I feel today?
No, I think not
That this requires
Such a strong word
To describe desire
Indeed, is love true?
It cannot be defined.
Each heart grows differently,
Yet it cannot be denied.
How can you name
Something that cannot be described?
Something so fleeting
Yet felt all the time?
Something to take your breath away.
Taken- Stolen- by the grin in his eyes.
And can you feel yourself laughing
At the beauty in his smile?
Can you feel your chest swelling
With what we call "love"?
Do you hear yourself thanking God
And all the angels above?
If so, then know this,
O thou seeker of hope;
Remember these words
When you're at the end of your rope.
All is not lost,
For love does live on.
It exsits in your heart
And in the lyrics of songs.
It resides in this poem
And in others besides.
But most of all, Love lives and thrives
In the gleam of his eyes.
I cannot say.
Is this love

No, I think not

So Smile
For how doth the moon and the stars pale in comparison to the ever-lasting sun of your lingering smile. <3

The Tree Swing's Sonata (The Church Bells are Singing)
Stars so bright
Spirits alight
Wonders untold
The beautiful night
That dazzaling child
So shy and so mild
A grown woman, she smiles
"It's been a while."
Her laughter rings
As the church bell sings
The small talk is idle
Down by that tree swing
From back when they were young
And could still play among
The others, together
As the church bells, they sung
Now older, they spend
Less time among friends
But together, reunited
They can talk to no end
About the silliest little things
Like the church bells, how they ring
About the times they spent together
Down by that old tree swing
Months later, still together
Mood still lighter than a feather
Joined together in their laughter
The two of them closer than ever
Silently, slowly, creeping
In comes these new feelings
And before they even know it
It's of the other they are dreaming
Of that girl with light brown hair
Her hazel eyes, so sweet and fair
Her soft pinks lips with wise, kind words
Of her smile and her laughter
And he realizes- He cares
To that girl, his heart, he gave
And with that gift he somehow saved
Her from herself, her enemy unforseen
His love made her strong; it made her brave
She sought him out at the old tree swing
Found him just as the church bell began to sing
Staring into his eyes, she sunk to one knee
And smiling at her, he pulled out a ring.
Spirits alight
Wonders untold

To Start Things Off...
Here's to makin' the new year count!!
Resolve to better yourself this year.
New Year resolutions mean nothing if you do not act upon them.
Smile! Second chances are born as the ball drops.

Eldest - Christopher Paolini (and random)
"Live in the present, remember the past, and fear not the future, for it doesn't exist and never shall. There is only now." - Saphira
Never bet against yourself, for then you will surely lose.
